Using Burrow
Snippets
Save a command once and send it to a terminal with one click.
Create a snippet
Open Snippets in the sidebar and add one. A snippet has these fields:
| Field | What goes in it |
|---|
| Name | What you see in the list. |
| Command | The text that is sent to the terminal. |
| Tags | Optional. Separate several tags with commas. |
Under Show on, choose every session, or only the hosts you pick. A snippet that only makes sense on one server then stays out of the way everywhere else.
Use a snippet in a session
In a session, open the snippets drawer from the toolbar. Click a snippet and its command is sent to the terminal.
TODOSay whether a snippet runs right away or waits for Enter. It matters for commands like rm.
You can also create a snippet for the current host right from the drawer.
Import and export
Snippets can be exported to a JSON file and imported again, for example to move them to another computer.
The export file is readable only by your user account, because commands can contain sensitive details like server names or tokens.
